August 2024 Prayer Calendar
August 4th
Praise God for Pastor Erik Young and his wife Natasha, who serve at Big Creek
Community Church in Big Creek. This beautiful mountain community can be
challenging for a church since there are many visitors, but the permanent
residents need a consistent church family, too. Pray for them to continue to grow
in their faith, that they will be encouraged, energized and strengthened as they
share the Gospel and make Christ known to those God has called them to
minister to. Pray for their preparations for a community outreach event coming up
in September. Pray that lives will be reached for Christ!
August 11th
Praise God for Pastor David Doupe and his wife Rhonda, who serve at Grace
Bible Church in Solvang. Pray for their increased effectiveness in reaching their
community with the gospel and for their outreach events. Also pray for wisdom in
their decision-making regarding a building expansion or possible relocation. They
are trusting the Lord to lead and they need His wisdom.
August 18th
Praise God for Pastor Romeo Dorio, who ministers at Ignite Community Church
in Elk Grove. Pray for their church as they are going through a transition and are
searching for a Senior Pastor. They have had meetings with IPM (Interim Pastor
Ministries) and need God’s wisdom in making decisions. Praise God for His
faithfulness to them.
August 25th
Praise God for Pastor Patrick Allen and his wife Judy, who are Interim Pastoring
Pole Line Road Baptist Church in Davis. Pray for wisdom for their church as
they seek God’s leading for their next Senior Pastor. Ask God to continue to use
them in their community with their Food Closet ministry and that they will continue
to be mission-minded and filled with God’s love as they share the Gospel. Pray for
Pastor Patrick’s continued strength in all aspects of his ministry and life.
September 1st
Have a blessed Labor Day weekend! We’re so thankful for all those who work so
hard and for the opportunities God has given us to work for His glory!
Praise God for Pastor Jarrod McClintick and his wife Amy, who serve at Rise
Church in Visalia. Praise God for the growth He is bringing to them and for the
lives that are being reached for Christ! 24 people were baptized recently! Pray for
their staff, for protection and wisdom, and that they will continue to serve and live
out the mission God is calling them to in the exact way He would want.
