Kairos Winter Retreat 2025

“God is love,” says John, but has not this grand statement been misunderstood and misused by countless people in contemporary culture? In this Winter Retreat, we will be devoting ourselves to a deeper understanding of this all-important, life-altering teaching of Scripture. As we do so, we’ll survey some of the many misconceptions of this doctrine by secular and religious people alike. We’ll go on to use the spectacles of Scripture to give us a clear understanding of diverse ways that the Scriptures testify to God’s love, demonstrating how God’s love is not a foe, but a friend of his other attributes such as his justice, wrath, and sovereignty. At the end of the day, we will understand the love of God in light of the cross, and how this ought to shape every aspect of our lives.

Join us this January 3–5 at Del Oro Camp in Nevada City for an unforgettable Winter Retreat. Beyond the teaching, this retreat offers a chance to step away from the everyday, enjoy the beauty of nature, and connect with fellow young adults in meaningful fellowship.
