The Gathering: Worthy

What is a woman’s worth? The world suggests that it’s in our appearance, ambitions, abilities, and accomplishments, as judged by ourselves and/or others. Even Christians fall trap to these lies. But Scripture affirms that a woman’s worth is rooted in being made in God’s image and redeemed by Christ. As God’s royal representatives, women are created to interdependently rule the earth with men for God’s glory. We have dignity and value as His created beings. As sinners redeemed by Jesus’ blood, we are God’s daughters clothed in Christ’s righteousness. We are commissioned with the ministry of the word and gifted for service, to bless our homes, church, and community.

Let’s gather to remind ourselves of our worth in Christ, examine where we are living out of step with that truth, and pray for God to transform us and align our will to His.

The Gathering is a workshop-style event, where women explore how to live out the implications of the gospel, so that we would treasure Christ more, cultivate a gospel community, and stir one another to love and good works.
