Winter Camp

High School Middle School

Over the last two years

We experience a wide range of emotions. Joy and happiness can leave us feeling like we’re floating. Anger can lead us to act out in ways we wish we hadn’t. The weight of the world can cause despair and sadness making us feel as though we are stuck.

What should we do with the wide array of emotions that we experience? The God of the Bible has created us with emotions, but that doesn’t mean negative emotions are necessarily bad or that positive emotions are always good. We must learn to filter these emotions and understand their God-given purpose. This winter camp, see how God is redeeming our emotions in light of the gospel.

High School Ministry:

Speaker Bio for Jonny Ardavanis: Jonny is the Dean of Campus Life at The Master’s University, a Camp Director at Hume Lake Christian Camps, and hosts the podcast Dial-In with Jonny Ardavanis. He is passionate about the Gospel and God’s Word and desires to see people understand and obey it. Throughout the years, he has had the opportunity to interact with thousands of students, young adults, and pastors. Jonny’s heart is that people would love and seek to understand God’s Word. This stems from the conviction that the more people behold God’s character as revealed in His truth, the more their hearts will be set on fire for Jesus Christ.

Jonny loves the Los Angeles Lakers, fried eggs, and HIS WIFE CAITY JEAN!

The HSM Band Cameron Campbell BAND. Cameron used to work at Golden Hills and was a High School small group leader for many years. We are so excited to have Cameron back with us, leading us in gospel-centered worship over the weekend.

Middle School Ministry

He’s been married to his high school sweetheart, Chawna, for over 11 years and together they have three daughters: Daisy, Penny, and Lottie. In all he does, his controlling passion is to help the church produce lifelong disciples of Jesus Christ who live to know Him and make Him known for God’s glory and their joy.
