Wouldn’t you love to be wise? To know the God who is Wisdom himself? Join us this fall as we spend 11 weeks mining the Old Testament’s Wisdom Literature, not only for their wise principles for living, but also for the wise person these books point to through their drama, poetry, proverb and song—Jesus. We will be using Bible teacher Nancy Guthrie’s teachings and workbook to guide us through Job, Psalms, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, and the Song of Solomon, providing us with clear commentary and contemporary application of the timeless biblical truths found in the Wisdom Books. These books are rich with wisdom and truth about how God guides us, how we can make sense of our suffering and our dissatisfaction in life, and how to deal with our uneven emotions, or need for security, and our longing to be loved. Together we will gain a fresh perspective on the Wisdom Literature, a broader understanding of Jesus as the fulfillment of Scripture, and grow in our confidence of the Bible’s authority and sufficiency in our lives.

This study will be offered in-person on Tuesday mornings from 9:00–11:30am. The cost of this study is $17, which includes your study guide.

We also offer a meeting on Tuesday evenings from 6:30–9:00pm for dinner and Bible study. The cost of this study is $25, including your study guide and weekly dinner.
